DESCRIPTION
A more powerful version of the Islander’s Wayfinder, this version is filled with the power of light.
EFFECTS
When clutched it can radiate light as per the torchlight cantrip. The Islander’s wayfinder also acts as a magical compass, granting you a +2 circumstance bonus on Survival checks to avoid becoming lost. All wayfinders include a small indentation designed to hold a single Materia, counting as a magical item of different qualities, as noted below.
This Wayfinder counts as a +1, +3, or +5 piece of armor (in correspondence with its +1/+2/+3 forms) for determining the bonuses of the slotted Materia. This Wayfinder also gives a differing bonus depending on how it was built or who it was crafted for, once this choice is made it cannot be changed.
Power: This reddish-colored necklace grants a +1, +2, or +3 sacred bonus on all Strength-based checks. It also confers a +1, +2, or +3 sacred bonus on all Fortitude saving throws.
Speed: This greenish-colored necklace grants a +1, +2, or +3 sacred bonus on all Dexterity-based checks. It also confers a +1, +2, or +3 sacred bonus on all Reflex saving throws.
Magic: This bluish-colored necklace grants a +1, +2, or +3 sacred bonus on all Intelligence-based checks. It also confers a +1, +2, or +3 sacred bonus on all Will saving throws.
As an immediate action, if a friend with another Wayfinder is within 50ft the wielder can confer their Wayfinder’s bonus, along with Materia bonus, to their ally until the end of the wielder’s next turn, this stops the wielder from receiving their bonus for 2 rounds.
The auras of multiple augmenting wayfinders tend to interfere with each other; a person with one who tries to hold or carry a second usually finds that both sputter out in just a few seconds, but activate again once the second one is set aside.
