DESCRIPTION

You conjure a small octahedral prism that steadily hovers in place several feet off the ground. Its mirror-like surface rotates slowly, reflecting a perfect likeness of its surroundings. Allies that have vision of this object also share its vision (normal vision; 30 ft. radius).

Spells with a ranged touch component may be refracted through this prism, allowing casters to circumvent line of sight issues and extend their reach. Refracting a spell through a magic prism requires casting the spell and making its required ranged touch attack against the prism (a small object with an 11 touch AC). Upon a successful hit, the caster is then allowed to make another ranged touch attack from the prism’s location. The prism acts as a conduit, recharging the refracted spell’s energy; any distance between the caster and their targeted prism is ignored for the purposes of determining its range. A spell can be refracted multiple times, but is recharged only on the first refraction.

While spells cast with the intent to be refracted do not harm the prism, it still remains susceptible to destruction through other means. A magic prism has the following defensive features: 11 AC, 10 HP, and hardness equal to 5 + half of your caster level.
