Baptized in the divine light of the Church, the Holy Knight smites foes with powerful Holy Sword techniques.

The holy knight is an archetype of the paladin class.

Holy Sword Techniques (Su)

Starting at 3rd level and every three paladin levels thereafter, a holy knight gains the following holy sword techniques that she can use her holy pool with. Each technique costs 2 points from her holy pool.

Chant (Su): As an immediate action, the holy knight can sacrifice her hit points to heal an ally within 30 feet twice as much as she sacrificed.

Hallowed Bolt (Su): The holy knight sends a bolt of holy energy coursing through in a 60-ft.-line. All creatures within the area of effect take 1d6 points of holy damage per paladin level (max of 10d6) and are also inflicted with Silence for 2d4 rounds. A Reflex save (DC 10 + half of the paladin’s level + her Charisma modifier) reduces the damage by half and negates the status effect. Prerequisite: The holy knight must be at least 6th level to use this technique.

Northswain’s Strike (Su): The holy knight swings her holy-imbued sword at an opponent within melee range, inflicting 2x her weapon damage and also inflicting the Sleep status for 2d4 rounds. A Fortitude save (DC 10 + half of the paladin’s level + her Charisma modifier) reduces the damage by half and negates the status effect. Prerequisite: The holy knight must be at least 9th level to use this technique.

Divine Ruination (Su): The holy knight causes an explosion of holy light to happen within 100 feet in a 20-ft.-radius. All creatures within the area of effect take 1d6 points of holy damage per paladin level (max of 10d6) and are also inflicted with Confusion for 2d4 rounds. A Reflex save (DC 10 + half of the paladin’s level + her Charisma modifier) reduces the damage by half and negates the status effect. Prerequisite: The holy knight must be at least 12th level to use this technique.

Cleansing Strike (Su): The holy knight cleaves into her opponent within melee range, inflicting 3x her weapon damage and also inflicting the Doom status for 2d4 rounds. A Will save (DC 10 + half of the paladin’s level + her Charisma modifier) reduces the damage by half and negates the status effect. Prerequisite: The holy knight must be at least 15th level to use this technique.

Judgment Blade (Su): The holy knight strikes at an opponent within melee range, causing them to stop in their tracks, inflicting 2x her weapon damage and also inflicting the Stop status for 2d4 rounds. A Will save (DC 10 + half of the paladin’s level + her Charisma modifier) reduces the damage by half and negates the status effect. Prerequisite: The holy knight must be at least 18th level to use this technique.

These abilities replace blessings.
