Where these people hail from is unknown, but supposedly they are unsatisfied with watching fate run its course and have decided to take matters into their own hands. Eschewing spellcasting entirely, they instead carry their star globe, usually a tool used mostly for divination, as if it were an orb of power. Paired with a weapon in their other hand, these explorers look to the heavens for guidance while traveling the world in their search of destiny.
The globetrotter is an archetype of the astrologian class.
Archetype Main Ability Scores:
The globetrotter primarily focuses on STR or DEX for combat along with CON, and WIS for their class features.

Class Skills
The globetrotter adds Acrobatics, Intimidate, Survival, Swim, and Use Magic Device to her list of class skills.
This ability replaces Appraise, Knowledge (Nobility, Engineering, Technology) and Linguistics as class skills.
Expert Prowess
A globetrotter’s base attack bonus increases by two steps (from 1/2 BAB to Full BAB). Also increases the globetrotter’s hit dice from d6 to d10. In addition, the globetrotters’s Fortitude save progression becomes good.
This ability replaces cantrips, spells, and MP Pool. Globetrotters do not gain any spells or spellcasting ability, do not have a caster level, and do not count as having an astrologian spell list for spell trigger or spell completion magic items.
Weapon and Armor Proficiency
The globetrotter gains proficiency with all one-handed simple and martial weapons, and gains proficiency with light and medium armor. She loses proficiency with all power weapons.
This ability modifies the globetrotter’s starting weapon and armor proficiencies.
Limit Break (Su)
At 1st level, the globetrotter receives the Limit Break (Lesser Orb of Annihilation).
Lesser Orb of Annihilation (Su): This Limit Break allows the globetrotter to concentrate the energies of the universe into the center of her star globe, forming an absolutely black sphere. For a duration of 1 round + 1 round per four astrologian levels after 1st, when the globetrotter hits with her star globe, if it’s not an attack of opportunity, it pulls her target adjacent to her unless they succeed on a Fortitude save (DC 10 + half of the astrologian’s level + her Wisdom modifier). Regardless of whether the pull succeeds or not, the destabilization causes them to provoke an attack of opportunity that can be taken before or after the pull. This limit break requires only a swift action.
This ability replaces the Limit Break (Kinetic Card).
Precise Shot
The globetrotter gains Precise Shot as a bonus feat without meeting the prerequisites.
This ability replaces spell proficiency.
Warrior Talents
The globetrotter can pick warrior talents in place of astrology secrets, using her astrologian level for warrior level prerequisites. She treats her star globe as her chosen weapon for the purpose of warrior talents. At 12th level, she may pick advanced warrior talents as well. Additionally, the level requirements for the Additional Globe and Extra Additional Globe astrology secrets are lowered to 6 and 12 respectively.
This ability may replace astrology secrets and advanced astrology secrets.
Star Combat (Ex)
At 3rd level, the globetrotter may use her star globe in tandem with a melee weapon. This functions much like two-weapon fighting, but the off-hand weapon is her star globe. As a full-attack action, she can make her star globe attacks in addition to all of her normal melee weapon attacks, though all attacks made this way take a –2 penalty. If the globetrotter has class features that let her make extra attacks with her star globe, she may use them as part of this full attack.
This ability replaces lightspeed.
Infused Star Globe (Su)
At 5th level, the globetrotter’s star globe becomes more akin to a real weapon. She may have her star globe enhanced permanently as if it was a ranged weapon (it cannot/does not need to be masterworked beforehand), though she needs to be present for the entire process as it disappears if it leaves her hands. She may also use her level as her caster level for qualifying and using feats.
This ability replaces clear mind.
The Heavenly Paths (Su)
At 5th level, early on in the globetrotter’s studies, she learns about two different sects that map the stars using the positions of the sun and the moon and these two sects are reflective of their reference points. The Diurnal Sect uses the sun as their reference point, creating star maps with the sun being the key to navigation, while the Nocturnal Sect uses the moon as the reference point. The globetrotter imbues herself with a specific sect and draws the powers from them. She may switch between sects as a swift action.
- Diurnal Sect (Su): The globetrotter’s star globe explodes on hit, dealing its minimum damage to adjacent enemies, Reflex for half (DC 10 + half of the astrologian’s level + her Wisdom modifier).
- Nocturnal Sect (Su): The globetrotter gains a bonus to her melee damage rolls equal to her Wisdom modifier.
This ability modifies the heavenly paths.
Essential Fortune (Su)
At 6th level, the globetrotter’s cards become more potent when affecting those in need. As long as an ally is below 50% health, all cards from the globetrotter that affect them have their total effect increased by 1.
This ability replaces essential dignity.
Astral Safety (Ex)
At 7th level, the globetrotter does not provoke attacks of opportunity when making attacks with her star globe.
This ability replaces astral guidance.
Synastry (Su)
At 9th level, the globetrotter can create an aetheric bond with an ally. As a move action or swift action, the astrologian can choose an ally (she cannot chose herself) within 30 feet to bond with. Whenever the globetrotter deals damage with her star globe, the bonded ally heals for half the damage dealt. This ability lasts for a number of rounds equal to the globetrotter’s Wisdom modifier and is usable up to 3 times per day.
This ability modifies synastry.
Conduit of Heaven (Su)
At 13th level, when an ally casts a single-target spell that is 2nd-level or higher on the globetrotter, that ally regains 1 MP. The spell must cost at least 2 MP or higher to regain MP.
This ability replaces far seer.
Touch of the Moon (Su)
At 14th level, while under the Nocturnal Sect, the globetrotter’s star globe carries with it a taint of madness. Subjects who take damage from it are also subject to confusion, as the spell, except the duration of this effect is 1 round. The Will save DC against this effect is 10 + half of the astrologian’s level + her Wisdom modifier.
This modifies the touch of the moon sect power.
Curve Ray (Su)
At 17th level, the globetrotter may hit targets that are outside her line of fire. Her attacks with her star globe ignore all cover, including total cover. The star globe’s ray must still be able to reach the target; a target inside a closed building with no open doors or windows cannot be attacked.
This ability replaces read the stars.
Destiny Realized (Su)
At 19th level, the globetrotter’s moment of destiny is at hand. Any critical threats made against her only confirm if the second roll results in a natural 20 on the die. Any critical threats she scores with her star globe are automatically confirmed. Additionally, once per day, she can cast Discern Location as a spell-like ability, with a cast time of 10 minutes.
This ability modifies destiny realized.
