A giant eyeball roughly the size of a hume’s torso approaches, walking on a mass of tentacles, other tentacles reaching out towards its prey. Despite common misconceptions, it’s not actually a “Gazer.” – Imban

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Auto-Reflect (Su)
Gathers constantly benefit from a version of the Reflect status. Any spell which directly targets a gather and fails to penetrate its spell resistance is turned back upon the original caster.
Flash (Su)
A gather emits a bright flash around itself blinding all those within a 15-ft.-radius who did not succeed on a Will save (DC 15) for 1d6 rounds. Blue mages may learn this ability as a 2nd level spell (Knowledge: Dungeoneering DC 19).
Para-Stare (Su)
Every 1d4+1 rounds, a gather may focus its gaze upon a single target within 30 feet as a standard action, causing them to become hypnotized into paralysis. The target must make a DC 15 Will save or suffer the Paralyzed status effect for 1d3 rounds. This is a mind-affecting effect.
Self-Destruct (Su)
While below 50% hp, a gather’s central eye swells up massively, and it can explode at any time as a full-round action, destroying itself and dealing 7d6 points of fire and physical (half and half) damage to everything within a 15-ft. radius (Reflex save DC 15 for half damage). Blue mages may learn this ability as a 1st level spell (Knowledge: Dungeoneering DC 17).
